Highlands are a biome. They are the main biome and the player's starting biome.

Generation[ | ]

Highlands generation is very similar to older generation, albeit with a lot more variation in elevation and new common biome features, such as lakes and caves. Large lakes may generate exclusively in this biome.

Highlands may generate as a megacoast variant. Amberoot trees are very rare here, with only only one or two trees generating per every 10-20 Skyroot trees.
