Highlands Ice is a type of translucent block found in Arctic Peaks.
Obtaining[ | ]
Highlands Ice does not require a pickaxe to mine, but using one speeds up the process. Highlands Ice will not drop anything unless mined with a Silk Touch pickaxe, which will cause it to drop itself.

Natural generation[ | ]
Highlands Ice will naturally generate as frozen lakes in Arctic Peaks biomes, replacing normal lakes. Highlands Ice will also generate underground in large veins in caves.
Snowfall[ | ]
In the Arctic Peaks biome, snowfall will cause any water to freeze into Highlands Ice randomly with the proper conditions (such as light level).
