Obtaining[edit | edit source]
Highlands Snow Layer requires a shovel to be mined, in which case it will drop snowballs. When mined without a shovel, it will drop nothing. Highlands Snow Layer can't be obtained with Silk Touch.

|Breaking time[note 1]|
|Zanite[note 2]||0.05 - 0.02|
- Times are for unenchanted tools in seconds.
- Times in order are the slowest to fastest mining speeds based on the tool's durability.
Natural generation[edit | edit source]
Highlands Snow Layer naturally generates in the Arctic Peaks biome on top of Aether Grass as single layers.
Snowfall[edit | edit source]
In the Arctic Peaks biome, snowfall will cause single Highlands Snow Layers to generate randomly on blocks with the proper conditions (such as light level). Highlands Snow Layer will not generate on Highlands Ice and Highlands Packed Ice.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When Highlands Snow Layer is placed onto the same block as some plants, whether by the player or by snowfall, the plant will have the snow on the ground with it.
